Malcolm Smith

Chief Technology Officer
Malcolm is responsible for all technology initiatives at Ripple6 and is charged with making the platform the most simple, safe and secure means for sharing information over the Web. His career includes work in designing email security and cryptography for Microsoft Outlook at Microsoft. He has held CTO roles at AIG SunAmerica and other financial services firms. He served in senior technology management roles at several startup e-commerce and business services firms over his 25 year career in Information Technology. Malcolm graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, concentration MIS / Decision Sciences.

Geoff Merrick

Senior Vice President, Services
Geoff leads the Ripple6 Services group which is responsible for all project development & delivery, solution sales support, and client support. The group is responsible for providing customers with a framework for success while maintaining an efficient and scalable delivery approach which best leverages the core capabilities of the platform.

Geoff has over 15 years of experience in strategic consulting, product development and professional services including helping build the professional services organization for Siebel Systems (now part of Oracle) as well as founding a technology consulting company (OKERE), which was acquired by Fujitsu – the 3rd largest consulting company in the world. OKERE was among the first partners of Salesforce.com in both product and professional services capacities and among the first consulting companies focused exclusively on SaaS solution delivery. Geoff Merrick brings with him experience delivering a wide range of technology solutions to various industries and Fortune 500 Companies. Geoff lives NJ with his wife and 3 children. Geoff plays guitar and piano, is a fan of the NY Mets and NY Jets, and is a “fan-in-law” of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Jim English

Vice President, Project Delivery & Engagement Services
Jim is responsible for the successful delivery of technical solutions and social media services to Ripple6 clients.  Over the past 15 years Jim has made a career of delivering web technology solutions & services for world class organizations like Toysrus, LandsEnd, Crabtree & Evelyn, Pokemon, RC Bigelow, and many others.

Prior to joining Ripple6, Jim worked with leading global retailers to define and execute web technology strategies for ecommerce initiatives.  As VP of Operations at SiteAcuity, he oversaw product development and client delivery for an early stage provider of online CRM solutions.  As VP of Professional Services at Venda, Jim established the teams responsible for project delivery, account management and live site support for North American clients of Venda’s global ecommerce platform.  Earlier on, as a Sr. Product Manager at Toysrus.com, Jim managed the evaluation, creation and operations of new and emerging online businesses.

Jim received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, and his MBA from Fordham University.

Rob Gatto

SVP Sales, PointRoll / ShopLocal / Ripple6
Rob has more than 24 years of experience in the technology industry – managing marketing, sales, distribution channels, and new market development.

Rob’s experience is a perfect match for his work in managing revenue growth at Pointroll. Having been with ShopLocal for over 8 years prior to the acquisition by Gannett and Pointroll, he has been involved in driving the ShopLocal business from just a few clients to more than 100 today. He has been instrumental in architecting the strategy that positions ShopLocal at the forefront of the use of the Internet as a vital part of the store marketing mix. He provides our clients with extensive experience in multi-channel marketing and a unique blend of expertise across media, analytics and Internet application development.

Prior to joining ShopLocal, Rob held various sales executive positions at Hyperion Solutions, the leader in financial analytics software and SPSS Inc. the leading provider of predictive analytics and data mining software.

Rob received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Northern Illinois University.

 
     

Catherine “Cat” Spurway

Vice President, Strategy & Marketing
Responsible for strategically aligning opportunities, resources and divisions as well as overseeing the entirety of PointRoll’s market-facing brand positioning and communications programs, as the Vice President of Strategy and Marketing Catherine leads strategic business, client, and marketing efforts that span product and partnership development, client relations and education, and internal team development. The driving force behind PointRoll’s innovative and effective marketing approach, Catherine strategically built the company’s marketing team in 2006 before turning the tables and working directly with our clients to further their digital goals as the Regional Director of Sales for the Southeast. Catherine successfully established and built out PointRoll’s Southeast sales office in Atlanta, leading the team in providing consultative, compelling, and measurable rich media programs to clients including BBDO, UPS, Disney and more.

Catherine began her career at direct-response agency M&M Associates working with clients including Walmart, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. Followed by a client-side role as the Marketing Manager for Exelon, Catherine parlayed her agency and advertiser experience into a consulting manager with Gail Force Communications, where her clients included ALC and ARAMARK. Catherine earned a BA from Denison University and is a Member of organizations including The Georgia Executive Women’s Network, the American Marketing Association where she recently co-led a pro-bono marketing project as part of the Non-Profit special interest group, and the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association where she serves on the Board.
